Grants Officer

We’re looking for a brilliant fundraiser to join our Head of Development as a Grants Officer.

Job description:

Salary £25k FTE at 40 hrs, 0.3 FTE at 12 hours per week, includes 6 weeks holiday.

Major Grants

  • Grant research

  • Grant + trust applications

  • Grant expenditure monitoring

  • Grant reporting

Small Grants

  • Family project applications

  • Liaising all Rotaries, Lions, Round Tables + other local fundraising groups for family project grants

Fundraising events

  • Assisting Head of Development in running events as necessary

Necessary + preferred skills + experience

  • Must demonstrate exemplary written work and administrational organisation

  • Must be able to write precise budgets

  • Must have working knowledge of: Numbers/Excel + Pages/Word

  • Experience of grant writing including major grants/multi-year funding strongly preferred, but not essential

  • Ability to produce PDFs with texts, images + logos strongly preferred, but not essential

Working at Dora

  • Work is currently a flexible mix of from home and in our office at 19 Tower St, Ipswich, IP1 3BE

  • This role must keep some of the same office hours as the rest of the Development team within reason (suggested Wed-Fri but this can be discussed).

  • There will be some out of hours work events and meetings.

  • This role does not include onsite work in family homes and there is no voluntary work expectation. However, every office staff member is encouraged to use 4 of their contracted hrs/month as part of a team onsite in a family home. To keep it real.
