Referrals

This page is for social workers, health visitors + other professionals at Suffolk County Council, as well as other charities + agencies, who want to refer families to us

To be eligible the family must have children + must be in receipt of financial support as well as support from a division of Suffolk County Council or alternative charity or agency. They must live in Ipswich, Felixstowe, Woodbridge + surrounding villages. Please note we prioritise homes in which Child Protection Plans hinge on the state of the home, self care + hygiene, as well as the homes of young carers

As Dora’s resources are limited + we are free-of-charge to families + to the referral agency, we ask that you only refer families who are fully willing to engage in our process + who are eager for their home situation to improve

After we have received your referral + photos, we will acknowledge receipt. We will notify whether we can proceed with the referral then aim to meet the family and see their home, with you, within 6 weeks. If we can offer support to the family, we will schedule the project, keeping you informed of broad developments + asking for an evaluation at the end of the project

Our resources are limited, so we ask that you submit the brief application with photos as a first step. If, however, you have questions before you submit please email Sandrine

Thank you
