Volunteering in family homes

Dora can only help families with volunteers. We need you!

We work on site in family homes on Wednesdays + Fridays, 9am-2pm (except Easter + Christmas). If you are interested in getting involved please leave your name, email + number below. We will be back to you with information + we’ll get you working on a project with us pronto. If you have specific DIY or other handy skills please do let us know!

You will be pitching in with cleaning, clearing, organising + all kinds of jobs that arise. You will always be working as part of a team + in a pair. Our families are often vulnerable + you will be trained in how to work best with them

Dora was founded by Sacha Naylor + Rebecca May Marston in 2020. We are really proud of Dora + the important work she achieves. We passionately believe in the demographic who don’t work, including school parents + retirees, + their potential to effect change. We are an inclusive, people for people social enterprise

We regularly invite our volunteers to feedback, social + training sessions outside of working in homes

Fundraising Volunteers

Dora also needs volunteers to help us fundraise. We have a committee that meets quarterly. We run 4 + events each year. If you would like to help us brainstorm, or if you’re a keen baker etc please do drop your details below + we’ll get you on board
